◆When did you start drawing?
At the age of 4, in kindergarten, when I realized that I didn't know how to draw PANTS LEGS and was forced to draw Daddy wearing a dress instead of trousers...Oh, the mortification! I've made the vow to learn how to draw a picture where one could tell Mom and Dad apart. *LOL*
It kind of changed my life! xDDD

◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
The right one.

◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Female, I guess...because I can use myself as reference?
On the other hand, drawing naked men is way funnier!


◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Both are okay.

◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Same difference?

◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Front view.

◆What do you have problems in drawing?
Realistic expressions, interesting perspectives, movements/dynamic poses, group of characters. Also, certain areas of the face in particular are always causing me trouble when shading.
I think there are a LOT more but I don't want to depress myself thinking about it xD

◆What do you like to draw?
Chibi characters, because you it's harder to make anatomy mistakes! xD
Hands. Hair. Eyes. Lips. Backgrounds (but I also hate them xD). Forest.


◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
I'm a traditional artist turned digital...Or something.

◆Where do you start drawing from?
From the eyes.

◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I always say I'm gonna learn a new coloring/shading method because mine is a waste of time but I never learn my lesson and always end painting the same way without realizing it...


◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
Work with files in high resolution (300 D.P.I.) for neater details. At this size, you don't have to waste your time making it too "detailed" for it to look detailed.

Either for hair or skin, it's always a good thing to include all kind of colors (blue, green, purple, red, orange...): the result looks more natural than one would imagine and if it does NOT look natural, chances are that it will look "stylish". xD
In general, don't be afraid to experiment with random colors.

◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
MUCH TOO LONG. It's hard for me to tell because I make long pauses in the process but in general, for my stuffs with detailed backgrounds and all, it takes weeks, sometimes a couple of months.
When I look at other people's artworks I see that only few HOURS of work is needed for a result that looks SO MUCH BETTER than mine! T^T
I'm made of FAIL...


◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Style-wise, it can be anything (pop, rock, trip hop, jmusic, anime OST, movie OST...even classical or opera).
I've made various long playlists only meant to set me in the right state of mind (the one reflecting the atmosphere my drawing is aiming for). For someone as slow as I am, it's very helpful so as to stay coherent on the long run.
I have a particular playlist for drawing especially pain-in-the-ass details without feeling like killing someone...and it works! xD

◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
I really don't know. More often than not, I start without having the slightest idea of where I'm heading to. The idea(s) comes as the artwork progresses and I'm adding elements accordingly till I feel like it's balanced.
Sometimes inspiration is almost immediate. There's no rule, really. ^^

◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Grip mechanical pencil for traditional art and my WACOM pen tablet for digital art.

◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I know I use blue, red, yellow and brown a lot. My favorite one would be red because I like how strong and vibrant a color it is.

◆Your favorite style(s)?
The messy style!


◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
One that wouldn't have to lose so much time TRYING(/failing) before managing to do what I want to do. That would be a good start. ^^
